The 2019 program for Bergen International Animation Festival – Reanima is ready!

ReAnima, is in collaboration with the Norwegian Film Institute and the County Authority of Hordaland, back with a new and exciting festival program this November

For the third year running, ReAnima – a free, independent & international animation festival – is back at Bergen Public Library and the Faculty of Fine Art, Music & Design the 14th -17th of November 2019.

– The idea behind the festival was to give Bergen a space where everyone can take part in the wealth animation, as a medium of expression, has to offer, Jair S. Alvarez (37), co-founder and director of ReAnima.

A diverse program

The festival offers a varied program of modern national and international animation, lectures, competitions, animation workshops and VR experiences.

Over a hundred international animation films

There will be screening of a large variety of animated short films from around the world along with three feature films, where an experienced jury will announce the winner of best film in six separate categories.

Students at the University of Bergen have, in collaboration with KODE Art Galleries, made an exclusive VR-experience where you can experience the paintings of Norwegian impressionist Nikolai Astrup from a completely new perspective.
