We are happy to announce our jury members, they will have the hard job to choose the winners in all our categories.

Regine Toften H.

Regine Toften Holst is an animator-at-heart comic artist and illustrator from the little town Honningsvåg, way north in Norway. Since getting her bachelor’s degree in animation from Volda University College in 2016, she has illustrated the second book in a children’s comic book series called «7», and most recently participated in comic anthologies for the Bergen-based publisher ÜberPress.

Piotr Kardas (1984), initiator and director of O!PLA – THE FESTIVAL OF POLISH ANIMATION and ANIMATION ACROSS BORDERS. Co-creator and programme director of CRAFT International Animation Festival in Yogyakarta (Java, Indonesia). Coordinator of Polish edition of StopTrik International Film Festival. Curator, juror (Belarus, Brazil, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain), initiator and coordinator of various cultural and artistic projects.
He studied Film Theory and New Media (University of Lodz). In 2010 – 2012 he working for Se-ma-for Film Production as a distributor and Se-ma-for Film Foundation as an initiator and coordinator of special events (i.a. Se-Ma-For European/Asian Express 2011: Beijing/Madrid/Tokio/Paris) and a program director of two first editions of Se-Ma-For Film Festival (2010/2011). Initiator and coordinator of Animation Section & Competition at ARS INDEPENDENT International Film Festival in Katowice, Poland (2012). In 2008 – 2010 he was a program & art director in one of the most famous arthouse cinema in Poland – Charlie Cinema in Lodz. Permanently cooperates with several festivals and institutions all around the world.

Joni Männistö

Joni Männistö is a filmmaker and animator born in 1981 in Finland. After graduating from the animation department of the Turku Arts Academy in 2011 he became an active member of several Finnish animation collectives that work on both commercial and artistic projects. The collective work includes animated films as well as art installations for exhibitions. He currently lives and works in Tallinn as a freelance artist. In addition to film making Männistö has worked as a visiting teacher at the Turku Arts Academy and is a co-founder and artistic director of Turku Animated Film Festival.

Simon Furdal

Simon Furdal is a stop motion animator, and has worked on feature films including “In the Forest of Huckybucky” and the “Louis & Luca”– trilogy. He has also been part of making several short films, and is currently doing commissioned work in Bergen.   Beside animation he likes cats and coffee.
